Terms of sale

These terms apply when you use tressvitalabs.com or buy from TressVita Labs LLC (“TressVita”, “we”). By placing an order or creating an account, you agree to them.

1. Research use only

All products are supplied strictly as chemical reagents for laboratory research. They are not for human or veterinary use, not for diagnostic or therapeutic application, and not for use as food, cosmetics or household chemicals.

Statements on this site have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. No product is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Nothing on this site is medical advice or an offer to sell a drug, and we don’t provide dosing information or protocols for human use.

2. Who may buy

Only approved members may buy. To be approved you must be at least 21 years old and acquiring the materials for legitimate laboratory research: you confirm your ID and age through Stripe Identity, and you confirm research use on a call with our team. You confirm both again at every checkout.

We may refuse or cancel any order, and refund what you paid for it. For example, we may do so if we believe the material is intended for human or animal use, the order breaks these terms or the law, or a price was listed in error.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for lawful use, safe handling, storage and disposal of what you buy, in line with applicable law and your institution’s policies. Some substances are controlled or restricted in some places. Check their status where you are before ordering.

4. Orders, prices and payment

  • Prices are in U.S. dollars and can change without notice. The price that applies is the one shown when you pay.
  • An order is placed when payment is completed. Submitting an inquiry doesn’t create an order or a commitment to sell.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive your full card number.
  • Member perks, such as free 3-day shipping, apply only while a membership is active. Everyone pays the listed price. Promotions carry their own conditions, shown with the offer, and can’t be combined unless the offer says so.

5. Shipping

We ship to U.S. addresses only. Shipping costs and times are on our shipping & returns page. Delivery dates are estimates. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier delivers the package to your shipping address.

6. All sales final

All sales are final, and we don’t accept returns or give refunds except where the law requires it. We replace an item at no cost if it arrives damaged, is the wrong item, or doesn’t match the certificate of analysis for its lot. See returns for how to report it.

7. Membership

  • Price. $29 a month or $290 a year, billed in advance through Stripe. Membership renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
  • Free trial. New members get a free trial the first time they join: 30 days, or 60 days when invited by a member. If you cancel before the trial ends, you aren’t charged. One trial per member.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel any time from your account. Your perks continue until the end of the period you paid for, and you won’t be charged again. Membership fees already paid aren’t refunded, except where the law requires it.
  • Perks. Current perks are listed on the business accounts page. We may change them going forward. Changes don’t affect a period you’ve already paid for.
  • Referrals. When someone you invite joins and makes their first membership payment, you earn a $29 credit. The credit applies to your future membership charges. It has no cash value and can’t be transferred.

8. Information on this site

Reference information, such as chemical descriptions, sequences and identifiers, is provided to identify materials for laboratory research. It may be incomplete, and it isn’t a recommendation for any use.

9. Warranty and liability

We warrant that each product matches the certificate of analysis for its lot when it ships. Your remedy for a breach of that warranty is a replacement or, if we can’t replace it, a refund of the price paid for that item. Apart from that warranty, products and this site are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. You agree to indemnify TressVita against claims arising from your misuse of any product or your breach of these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you agree to their jurisdiction.
